In Bee Cave, City Hall and the Galleria Share One Fall Calendar

  • October 15, 2026

Bee Cave City Hall's address is 4000 Galleria Parkway. From mid-October into January, almost every major event in the city happens on Hill Country Galleria's plaza and streets or on the lawn behind City Hall next door. Some are run by the city, some by the shopping center, and some by both on the same morning. For Madrone Canyon households in the same city, the fall-to-New-Year stretch fits along one corridor, and the dates are close enough together to plan as one calendar.

Here is how that calendar runs, week by week, with the logistics the event pages bury.

Oct. 17: The Galleria Opens the Season With Oktoberfest

Hill Country Galleria's Oktoberfest is set for Saturday, Oct. 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. The Galleria's event page lists Oktoberfest-inspired bites from The League Kitchen + Tavern, imported beers and local lagers, live music with classic oompah tunes, a stein-holding contest and a costume contest. For younger visitors there are face painting, balloon art and yard games.

The page doesn't name the bands, so expect a good afternoon rather than a concert. The four-hour window ends at 7 p.m., in time for dinner elsewhere.

One detail for families: the Galleria normally runs the plaza splash pad from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., but the site currently lists it as temporarily closed. The Galleria hasn't said why or when it will reopen.

Oct. 22–23: The City Takes the Trail Behind Chick-fil-A

The next week moves off the plaza, though not far. The City of Bee Cave's Haunted Trail runs Thursday and Friday, Oct. 22 and 23, from 7 to 9 p.m., on the trail that starts near Chick-fil-A at 3600 Ranch Road 620. Hill Country Indoor is this year's sponsor.

The city's page is clear about the audience:

This event is recommended for teens and adults because it is extra spooky.

The trail is staged as a series of scary scenes, and the city invites visitors to come in costume. Parking is at Home Depot, with a walk down to the trailhead behind Chick-fil-A. Here again, a civic event works off retail parking. The city is also recruiting volunteers, who must be 18 or older.

For families with younger children, the gentler Halloween option comes three days later, back at the Galleria.

Oct. 24: The Plaza Hands Itself to Local Artists

On Saturday, Oct. 24, Contracommon holds its sixth annual Common Ground Arts Festival on the Galleria's central plaza from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. The organizers list more than 30 creative vendors, four live music acts and free hands-on activities for all ages. The event page describes the festival as a way to connect emerging Central Texas artists and makers with art lovers across west Austin and the Hill Country.

It is the one weekend this fall when the plaza works more like a market square than a retail courtyard. Holiday gifts come up about now, so a festival with 30-plus local vendors is a good early stop.

Oct. 25: One Morning, Two Organizers, One Street

The overlap is clearest on Sunday, Oct. 25. The Galleria's Rolling Sculpture Car Show runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, with free admission for spectators and proceeds going to the Bee Cave Public Library. The City of Bee Cave holds its Trunk or Treat the same morning, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Galleria, 12700 Hill Country Blvd. The city bills the two together and invites families to dress up, walk Hill Country Blvd. for candy and look at the classic cars along the way.

Because the hours overlap, the day falls into three blocks:

  1. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Trunk or Treat and the car show run together on Hill Country Blvd.
  2. 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: the candy route closes and the car show continues.
  3. After 3 p.m.: both events are done for the day.

Families who want the costumes and the cars together should arrive in the first block. Car enthusiasts who would rather skip the candy crowds can come after 1 p.m.

Five of the six events take place at or on the Galleria, or behind a City Hall that sits on Galleria Parkway. The sixth parks at Home Depot.

Nov. 13 Through Jan. 18: The Rink Behind City Hall

The longest event of the season is Bee Cave on Ice. The city's rink returns behind City Hall at 4000 Galleria Parkway from Nov. 13, 2026, through Jan. 18, 2027. Its funding ties the city and the shopping center together too. The city's page lists Hill Country Galleria and H-E-B among last season's title sponsors.

The hours follow the school calendar:

  • Monday to Thursday: 3 to 9 p.m., last session at 8 p.m.
  • Friday: noon to 10 p.m., last session at 9 p.m.
  • Saturdays and LTISD school holidays: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., last session at 9 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., last session at 6 p.m.
  • Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., last session at 6 p.m.

The city lists LTISD holidays as Nov. 23–27 and Dec. 18 through Jan. 5, so the rink keeps its long Saturday hours on those weekdays. The rink page gives Thanksgiving as "11/27," but Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 26 this year. The holiday hours apply on Thanksgiving Day.

Pricing comes down to the day of the week. Wednesday through Monday, a 50-minute session costs $16 plus tax, skate rental included. On Discount Tuesdays, which the city calls Community Nights, the same session costs $11 plus tax. That is $5 less per skater, so a family of four saves $20 before tax. The discount applies only on five Tuesdays: Nov. 17; Dec. 1, 8 and 15; and Jan. 12. Tuesdays the rest of the season are charged at the regular rate.

Neither the Galleria nor the city has announced a 2026 tree lighting yet. The Galleria's 2026 press page lists only its Wine & Food Festival and Independence Day Festival releases. For now, the rink is the city's only confirmed winter event.

What Has Changed Around the Corridor This Year

The places around the event corridor have shifted over 2026 too, which matters on a night out or a walk between events.

Lake Hills Antiques and Vintage opened Feb. 20 at 12703 Hwy. 71, Ste. A, across from Hill Country Galleria, Community Impact reported. The same roundup noted The Cosmic Cup, a coffee-and-tarot counter that opened in January at Fetch Food Park, 17499 Hamilton Pool Road. Inside the Galleria, Winston's: Coffee, Provisions & Pizza is open at 13420 Galleria Circle, Ste. A-140, according to a January 2026 Community Impact roundup. Charles Schwab opened a branch beside Einstein Bagels at the Galleria on July 12, Community Impact reported.

A few changes point the other way. Whataburger's first fully digital location, at 3201 Bee Caves Road, closed in September, according to Community Impact. Other openings are still plans. Bee Cave approved permit extensions for a CAVA and a Chipotle at 13714 East Ladera Blvd., and Community Impact reported that developers expect construction to start this month and both restaurants to open in May or June 2027. First Financial Bank plans its first full-service Austin-area branch at 12101 Bee Cave Road in late October, though as of the Oct. 5 Community Impact report it was still a plan.

For dates and hours, the two pages to bookmark are the City of Bee Cave's event listings and the Hill Country Galleria events page. This season, between them, they cover almost everything on the Bee Cave calendar.
